BECKNER, Mrs. Sarah Jean, 86, of Charleston Rt. 4 died yesterday morning at her home. Surviving are four sons, Volley of Charleston Rt. 4, James of Kenna, John of Bancroft, and Mat of Mt. Pleasant, O.; two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Boggess of Dunbar and Mrs. Laura Shultz of Wheeling; one brother, Ben Wilkinson of Charleston Rt. 4; 36 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren.
Service will be today at 2 p. m. at Oak Grove church on Frog's creek, Kanawha county. Rev. L. M. Ashby will officiate.
Burial will be in the Beckner cemetery. The Cunningham funeral home is in charge.

In the same compilation page is the 1876 marriage of William's son, William H. Wilkinson to Mary J. Todd. Both marriages appear to have been performed by the same person. The marriage of William T. Sometimes William is shown with a surname of Breeam. This is due to how the handwritten surname appears in the death record of his daughter, Martha. Close examination reveals that the "am" portion is actually "den" with the ascender of the d not showing in this image. On that page, all lower case e's are closed like an i without the dot.
