WILKINSON, Benjamin Franklin——80, died yesterday at his home near Sissonville after a long illness. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Opal Haynes at home and Mrs. Clyde Campbell of Huntington; two sons, Wilbur of Sissonville and Braden of Pocatalico; three half-sisters, Mrs. Vollie King, Sissonville, Mrs. Harry Rollins of Kennan Mrs. Dora King, Charleston; two half-brothers, John Wilkinson of Rocky Fork and Thomas Wilkinson of Harmon's creek; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Service will be at 2 p. m. tomorrow at Bonham's chapel on Derrick's creek, with Rev. Truman Wilkinson officiating, assisted by Rev. James Teasdale.
Burial will be in the jones cemetery on Tupper's creek with Long, Jonson and Fisher mortuary of Charleston in charge.

Benjamin married Dora Harriet Thomas on 30 Apr 1891 in Kanawha Co, WV. Dora was born est 1868 in Kanawha Co, WV. [Group Sheet]

2. Graydon Lawrence Wilkinson was born in 1893; died in 1975.
3. Wilbur W. Wilkinson was born in 1899; died in 1991.
4. Audrey Opal Wilkinson was born in 1903; died in 1989.
5. Martha Ellen Wilkinson was born in 1905; died in 2000.

Birth:
Birth estimation from the 1876 marriage record of William T. Wilkinson & Sarah L. Jones (his 2nd wife), in which record he was 46 years old. This agrees with data from the 1870 census.

In the same compilation page is the 1876 marriage of William's son, William H. Wilkinson to Mary J. Todd. Both marriages appear to have been performed by the same person. The marriage of William T. It is unclear that William had both middle names at birth. Most documents referred to him as William T. Some as Richard. And some with a middle name of Tomlin or Tamblin.

William married Martha Ann Breeden on 17 Mar 1853 in Kanawha Co, VA. Martha (daughter of William Breeden and Ruth) was born about 1840 in VA; died on 12 Jun 1875 in Kanawha Co, WV. [Group Sheet]

Sometimes William is shown with a surname of Breeam. This is due to how the handwritten surname appears in the death record of his daughter, Martha. Close examination reveals that the "am" portion is actually "den" with the ascender of the d not showing in this image. On that page, all lower case e's are closed like an i without the dot.
