    Caulkins' History of New Londond gives the following notice of her deth, coppied from the New England Weekly Journal:
    Mrs. Abigail Lothrop died at Norwich, Jan. 23, 1735, in her 104th year. Her father John Doane and his wife came to Plymouth in 1630, and there she was born the next year. She lived single till she was sixty years old and then married Mr. John (Samuel) Lothrop of Norwich, who lived ten years and then died.

    Abigail married John Samuel Lothropp in 1690 in MA. John (son of Rev. John Lothropp, the Pioneer) was born about 1620 in England; died on 29 Feb 1700 in MA. [Group Sheet]

  1. 2.  Deacon John Done was born in 1590 in England; died on 21 Feb 1685 in Eastham, Barnstable Co, MA; was buried in Cove Burying Ground, Eastham, Barnstable Co, MA.

    Notes:

    The Doane Family Association has done exhaustive research to determine the identity of Deacon John Done, researching everyone with that name who lived during that period who could potentially have been him. As evidence emerged a little at a time, all but one John Done (including alternate spellings) were ruled out, leaving only one. He was referred to in certain documents as John Done "cordwainer", and was born in Alvechurch, Worcestershire (pronounced Allchurch) on 28 May 1592. This conclusion was published by them in 2012.
