According to "History and Genealogy of the Page Family...", p.125, John returned to his home state of Connecticut after some two decades in Sherbourne, Chenango County, New York, and died in the house where he was born in Norwalk. Pages 125-126 give his military record in the Revolutionary War. "The Hale Collection of Connecticut Cemetery Inscriptions, 414-10 St. Paul's Cemetery Records - Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut" confirms he was buried in Norwalk.
