We are trying to find the church Sarah Fredia Strohmeier and Nye Litherland were married. We have the minister, Leo or Lou J. Ehrhardt. The date in the Register of Marriages is September 21, 1894. Any information is appreciated! Sarah's father, George Strohmeier, died when she was about 5 years old. Her Mother, Anna Marie (Mary A.) Kern Strohmeier remarried Paul J. Hein of Mt. Carmel. Nye Litherland's parents were William Hamilton Litherland and Susan Hall Litherland of Friendsville Prec., Wabash County, Il.

My note: There is another Sarah Fredia Strohmeier w/no stats, married to Robert N. Litherland. Robert was born abt. 1854. Certainly a different generation, but not too distant to possibly be the same Sarah. No way to tell w/o more data. Or...perhaps a cousin since so many families reused the same names over and over, with siblings having many children with the exact same names as their brothers and sisters, and as their neices and nephews.

Sarah married Nye LITHERLAND on 21 Sep 1894 in Wabash Co, IL. Nye (son of William Hamilton LITHERLAND and Susan A. DeWitt HALL) was born on 13 Jul 1872 in Lawrenceville, Lawrence Co, IL; died on 1 Jul 1966 in Houston, Harris Co, TX. [Group Sheet]

1. Owen L. LITHERLAND was born in Sep 1898 in IL.
