Married:
- Although some have given Peter James Teel as Susan's first husband, I've found no evidence of this marriage. However, Virginia Select Marriages do show her marriage to William Teel. Also, the marriage record of their son, Samuel Teel, gives William Teel as his father and Susan (some spelling of) Copen (his stepfather's surname) as his mother.
