    • Although presented here that Nancy Jacobs was the daughter of Thomas Jacobs and known wife, Rebecca Mallett, the text on page 48 of "A Historical Sketch of New Hope Church, in Orange County, N.C." (rev. ed.), by Rev. D. Irvin Craig, 1891 simply states she was the daughter of Thomas Jacobs (and therefore could be a daughter of a previous marriage of Thomas).
