Arnold is mentioned in the 1930 census of Pear, WV but not in the 1940 census. He is listed as the son of Allen & Ona (Lena) Plumley, but is shown as age 18...making it impossible for both the date and relationship to be correct. Since they were married in 1921, it is assumed he is actually 8 years old in 1930, and thus born in 1922.
