Death record of Willie Horton gives his and his father's surname as Harten, with mother Octavia Egnor. Carol Setliff's records report Willey H. Plumley as born to Octavia and husband Plumley; however the H. indicates he was a Horton.

If the death year for Octavia is correct at 1888, then Willie has a different mother, and is half-brother to Mary Frances. Similar may be true of Beulah ___?...unknown. Formerly listed brother Balam ___? has since been found to be Oliver Balaam "O.B." Atkins, brother of Andrew Jackson Atkins and brother-in-law to Willie through his sister, Mary Frances Horton.
