The funeral will be March 8 for Ed Kallock of Eugene, who died March 1 of a stroke. He was 81.
Kallock was born Jan. 13, 1924, in Gary, Ind., to George and Estelle Ciskowski Kallock. He married Della Mae Echols on Aug. 24, 1951, in Burbank, Calif. She died Aug. 30, 1988. He married Judy Bowser on Oct. 30, 1999, in Eugene.
He graduated in 1942 from Emerson High in Gary, Ind. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946 as a bandsman. He attended the University of California from 1949 to 1951. He worked as a floor covering installer in Burbank, Calif., and Eugene, retiring from Floors Unlimited in 1983. He previously lived in Burbank and San Diego.
Kallock enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, travel, gunsmithing and ballroom dancing. He belonged to Eugene Eagles Lodge 275, the Willamette Valley Sportsman's Association, the Cottage Grove-Eugene Sportsman's Club and St. Peter Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Larry Bowser of Eugene and Gary Echols of Folsom, Calif.; three step-grandchildren and four step- great-grandchildren.
Tuesday's service will be at 11 a.m. at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
